I used some orphan blocks and test blocks but I also did some piecing for these too.I did more piecing to upsize the blocks than anything but that takes just as much work. I think I could have made a lap quilt almost as easily as making these five. However, I do love having a variety of things for my customers to choose from.

Yesterday's Completions
For some reason I just couldn't get into the sewing swing yesterday. I did manage to churn out five of these journals / notebooks with quilted covers. These have been good sellers in previous years. I hope they sell well this year too.

I love the Journal covers! Beautiful! I agree, sometimes it is easier to make a quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteWow you did great for not being in the sewing mood!!
ReplyDeleteI saw your previous post you mentioned stocking up. You doing a show somewhere?
ReplyDeleteI gave my sister a quilted journal for her birthday this year, and she loved it. Yours turned out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteOk Gene, I want to see the inside too!!! You were very productive and I'm impressed....you avoided temptation so well. Now could you teach me how to avoid temptation too?
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Kelly
Cute!! I love the ones on the left and right of the top row!!!
ReplyDeleteGood job for a "slow" day, Gene!!! lol
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are a man of color....love them!
ReplyDeleteI would say you were well into the swing of sewing. They are all beauties but I think the top left is my favorite. :-) Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteIf this was a non-productive day, I wonder what an ambitious day looks like! Love the journals!
ReplyDeleteThey are so brightly colored and pretty, I can see why the customers buy them up!
ReplyDeleteI love them. I did try to make some to sell, but they looked quite different. Do you only sell on etsy or do you do shows?
ReplyDeleteI dropped my etsy and hope to do shows next year.
You'll do great either by etsy or show I am sure!!
Great covers...I've made a few of those before too. I have some journals, so maybe I should put that on my "to do" list. =)
ReplyDeleteI think that they will sell very well...a man after my own heart...I love brights!
