I got smiles and hugs that night. Last night I saw one of them again and got another hug. (The other was in the hospital - waiting for delivery.) I know that both of these babies will get lots of love. That makes me happy! Ha ha, I am claiming "uncle" status.

I am sure those quilts will be treasured always. Congrats to the new mom and the almost-new-mom....and great job, Gene!
ReplyDeleteUnkie Gene! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are cute. I like bright, happy baby quilts!
I'd like to have a Gene hug. :(
ReplyDeleteVery nice! The moms are always so appreciative!
ReplyDeleteI like your quilts! They are bright and colorful.
ReplyDeleteI am currently cutting out pieces to make Kylies Kites, an Eleanor Burns pattern I bought at the Quilt show last year. I could have used a 5" charm pack but I decided to use scraps instead. Our quilting group always has left-over scraps that need to be used in someway. Since I am using scraps I may have to struggle to make the colors balance -- I am not really a random person and I do like things to match but...I also want to use up these scraps.
Happy New Year!
Great quilts, and a lovely gesture. :)
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't be excited to get those quilts. I bet they will be favorites for a long time to come.
ReplyDeleteThey look so adorable and nice and bright! Love both the patterns and colors. Makes me wish I was having a baby!!! :)
