A Finish -commission quilt

Short and to the point  - I finished one of my two commission quilts.  These have really thick batting by request of the person who commissioned me.  I don't plan to use that stuff ever again ---well once I finish the SECOND one to fulfill the commission.
Here is a tiny peek at the quilt.  Sorry I can't show the whole thing.

  1. What you've shown of it looks very nice, but I can sense a lot of frustration over that batting...and to think you have to do another one with the SAME stuff...UGH

I love puffy battings, so cozy looking, but I don't know the hazards of working with them. Looking for the whole picture soon.

  6. I was just introduced to you via Exuberant Color - what a pleasure visiting your blog and website. I especially like your "create your badge" pic. And I hope we get to see the entire commission quilt that you let us peek at.

  7. Congrats! on "fighting" with the batting. I'm sure you'll do fine. I do not like the "fluffy" batting as it makes the quilting very difficult....but you're always up to a challenge, Gene. I'm anxious to see it finished...colors look wonderful.
