Kool Kaleidoscope Block

A while back a dear friend sent me a kit.  Somehow it got buried and forgotten.  This past week I found it.  Then I traced the templates, adding the quarter inch seam allowance, and cut them out.

Tonight I finished sewing it.  The center was "less than perfect" so I appliquéd a circle over the center.  It is still less than perfect, but hopefully I will find a place to use it where it will shine.

Till next time,

  2. I love those kaleidoscope blocks. I have never attempted one, though because I get stumped at the first step - picking out fabric!

  6. It looks fabulous, Gene! I've always wanted to do a kaleidoscope one but I get hung up on the fabric choices that would work best for it.

  8. Love the kaleidoscope and would love to try one but it looks soooo hard. Make a nice wall hanging with it, it really needs to be displayed.

Everything done by hand is less than perfect, but that's what makes it special -- doesn't look like it was created by a cookie-cutter machine. This is the perfect kit for you, being so colorful. It shines all by itself, just frame it!
