A Short Trip and FFO

Last weekend I went on a short trip to get away and recharge my mental batteries.  I went with three friends and we had a good time.
While on the trip, we went to a restaurant and enjoyed some good Mexican food. My favorite thing is that they made the guacamole right at our table. We got them to put only a little cilantro in it because I am "one of those people who dislikes cilantro."   But as we walked in the door, I saw this and immediately thought " Here is my picture for the Friday Face Off."

Thus I am joining the Friday Face Off for May 2, 2025

And just for the heck of it my "porch version" of

  2. I bet it was great to get away for a few days, especially with friends. I've always wanted to get guacamole made at my table. And that face is perfect for Friday Face Off. Have a super May Gene.

  4. I do not care for cilantro either. Love the statue. Love your song and yes it sounds like a Steven Foster one.

  5. Give me good Mexican food anytime, but I'm with you on the cilantro. I just don't like it. However, that Day of the Dead doll, I WANT. How big is it? She is amazing. I'm glad you got away with friends. One must do that from time to time. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a great weekend.

  8. It does wonders going away and recharging one's batteries. Even better if you throw good Mexican food in there. I loved seeing and hearing you singing this song that I first encountered on Tom's blog. Thank you!
