Progress on Frida and Face Off

I have made some progress on Frida.  So far, I am very happy with the way she looks. 

I decided to start from the top this time. I like the way it looks so far.  I am really happy 

with the way the ears look.  I was quite concerned that they would look "odd."

My next big concern is getting the eyes right. In any portrait, the eyes are essential.

We will see what happens as we go along. 

Since this post is for Friday, I am going to join the Face Off. 

Frida isn't a "face" just yet, so I am sharing another of my AI creations.

This one, I am calling "Mondrian's Daughter."  (I am so creative with these names!)

I have made several pieces using the "Mr. Mondrian" text.  I just change it a bit to make something 

different from the previous one.  The face and hair on this is not what I planned, but I think it is 

a "happy little accident."

Homage to Frida

After finishing Mr Mondrian,  I had a great idea to use the same AI prompts to create a similar work based on an image of Frida Kahlo.  Here is the face that the AI program (Night Cafe) provided. 

So I created my pieced background for the quilt and cut out the black silhouette to begin. 

Some of you may notice that the background colors and shapes are a bit different. 

I am taking artistic license as I create these.

Mr Mondrian is Quilted and some AI fun

Finally, I managed to get "Mr. Mondrian" all together and quilted. 

Someone asked if it was going to be for sale.  At this point the answer is not right now.  
I still need to finish him (binding the edges)  and mount the quilt on a stretched canvas.  Then I want to live with him for a while.  I have a couple of pieces that I don't ever want to sell.  He may become the third. But then, I may offer him for sale later. 

I also created a similar image of Frida Kahlo.

I think I want to do the same type of quilt with her. 

These are rather involved quilt constructions as I "invent" the pattern as I go. 

I am not sure anyone will want to pay what I feel I need  to be paid for these. 

Okay, how about some more AI  - just for fun?

Here is a photo of me that I used the AI app on my phone to "remix"

I think I look like a Doctor as you come into my office. LOL

It really looks a lot like me. 

And I took that photo and one of Mr Mondrian and made a collage, 

just for the fun of it. 

A dear old friend from college told me that he reminds her of me from back then.

Faces Reimagined

Heading into Friday,  I have some more faces to share.  This time, I took photos and used the AI feature in the photo app on my phone to reimagine some faces. 

First I took "Mr Mondrian" (originally in created in AI) and asked for a sketch that is a bit more lifelike.  

I think it hit a home run on this one. 

Next I have a photo of Mom that I used for a remix.  

Honestly,  the hair is longer, but it really really looks like my Mom. 

Finally I took an old photo of a couple of folks and said "Do it!"

I am not naming these two, but you are more than welcome to guess in the comments.
