Some of you may notice that the background colors and shapes are a bit different.
I am taking artistic license as I create these.

Oh Gene when I saw the AI of Frida it took my breath away. This is her, this is her spirit. I absolutely love this. I am so looking forward to seeing your piece finished. Brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove this. I got Frida socks for my friend, she is a huge fan.
ReplyDeleteLove the Frida face. I've done a few Frida things myself.
ReplyDeleteHi, Gene! I'm sorry that I haven't been around in a while. It's been a crazy summer for us. The Frida Kahlo image is striking. I hope you show us the finished quilt. I bet it will be gorgeous! I only learned about Kahlo about a year ago. A painting of her showed up in our nearby Mexican restaurant. The painting was so compelling that I asked our waitress about it. And it turned out that she had painted it as a reproduction of the original. I went home, did some sleuthing, and found the original and the artist Frida Kahlo. Our waitress Yvonne had created a perfect copy. I always pushed Yvonne to paint because she is very talented. And she always pushed me about my writing. I was sad when she began working somewhere else. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am incredibly impressed, Gene. This is going to be amazing. You truly captured Frida.
ReplyDeleteFriday, siempre presente. Un placer. Saludos desde España
