am still trying to not overdo activity, I haven't been creative today.
Daughter of the Moon - Painting by Gene Black Read about the painting here |
But, couple of nights I did play with my Native American flutes. I made a couple of recordings that I have put on SoundCloud. I thought some of you would enjoy hearing them. If you don't, I don't need to hear about it. Kind words only, please.

Falling Wind is so absolutely haunting. I could hear the rise and fall of it....beautiful Gene....you are so talented. I love the chances you take and if there is a harsh word, believe me, I will hammer them for you:)

Beautiful music--thank you.
As we've mentioned before, we share ancestral backgrounds. This music speaks to me, Gene. I've purchased numerous recordings like it. I always start my day with Comcast's "Soundscapes" Music Choice channel. Their offerings often include Native American and Irish music. Yours should be included!
Love your Daughter of the moon painting. I can hardly stop looking at it. You are a wonderful musician. I thank you for sharing your works!!!
Wow Gene! That was absolutely beautiful. Falling Wind really touches me.
My great-great grandfather was full blooded Cherokee so I wish I could learn more about my heritage and culture from that side of my family. I would really love to know what tribe he was from and what his Indian name was. But there isn't much on the internet and I don't know exactly where to look. It really is fascinating to learn things about the Cherokee.
You are truly multi-talented Gene!
Thanks Gene! I really enjoyed listening to your music.
I love you Gene. I read here, sadly I don't comment as much as I should. You are your own person and unafraid to share what you love and to kindly let those that don't agree to keep it to themselves.
Oh, and caring for your mom is not an imposition. You Are A Gem.
xx
Ge ne, you're obviously a man of many talents. I could listen to your music all day. Thanks for sharing.
Both recordings are just beautiful. So peaceful! Your talents are endless!
Really beautiful!! Thanks!
Beautiful recordings Gene. I enjoyed both of them.
