Years ago a friend taught me how to use compact discs that were no good to paint on. Back then you would get a CD in the mail for various internet providers such as AOL among others. She was coating them with gesso and painting on them. I painted several and some went out in art swaps that we did online, At that time postage was much cheaper.
Here are three that I found a few days ago while going through some art.

These are fabulous. I too used disks, but I made beaded clocks with them. I never thought to paint them. Well done my friend. Thank you for joining FFO and Happy New Year.
They look so diverse and creative
Hi, Gene! I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Your CD faces are great, especially the one on the left. All the best to you in the new year!
Ha! What a great idea! Yours are really good.
These are so neat. I might try this.
What a great way to reuse old CDs and keep them out of the landfill. Your paintings are lovely, as usual.
