First up is my sister. This is one of her school photos.
Next up is my Dad. This is picture is one of the earliest ones I have of him. I am guessing he was an early teen in this photo as I don't see any signs of facial hair.
You may notice a strong family resemblance in these two.
I think I don't look "just like" either of my parents but I look like both of them in some ways. I have been told more than once that I have my father's walk. I also have a few of his facial expressions. (for better or worse. LOL)
And just for a more cheerful photo, here is one of me at a cooking class in Cancun. It was an excursion that we chose to do . I have to say that it was a very fun excursion. We cooked, ate what we cooked, and then had the run of a day resort at the beach (open bar and more food - if we could bear to eat anything else.
We took this photo before the class started. My pan is actually empty.
I have to admit that this was years ago, but I still wear that shirt.

What a sweet post. I love old family photos.
You look like a very professional chef, even with an empty pan. The old family photos are lovely. It's interesting what you write about family similarities since I just mentioned that in my current post as well. Thank you for this truly lovely post.
I love that you frequently dedicate some posts to your sister and Dad.
Gene, I am very sorry for the losses.
And yet you made me laugh! There is one photo of my Dad at some gathering. Someone must´ve interrupted him and he turned around with an angry look.
When that happens to me I have that photo right here in front of my eyes, I must have the same nasty look, LOL!
You as chef is a much better sight ;-)
What a special set of faces
...Gene, my closet is full pf historic shirts! Stay cool and creative.
I love shirts that are broke in. Sweet pictures and you look like you were having a ball cooking. I'll take a soft shell taco:)
Your sister was beautiful Gene, and when I saw that photo of your Dad I thought it was you a few years younger. And I bet that cooking class was a blast. What did you make. Wishing you a happy FRiday and weekend ahead.
Thanks for the presentation of your relatives. You and your father have much same look😄
Happy weekend☘️
Wonderful photos to have and cherish. And what a great shirt!
This is the best FFO! I enjoyed following your trips to Mexico. You made the most of being there, I think.
This is such a nice post. You are right, your Sister and Dad do have a strong resemblance. But I can see a bit of them in you as well. My Son looks just like his dad, but if you start comparing her has my nose and eyes. Same with my daughter. The got the best of both of us. I think that is the same for you. I love your cooking photo with that big smile. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a nice weekend.
Lovely family faces Gene.
