A Little Progress

The Mondrian based face quilt is slo-o-o-o-owly progressing.  I have been busy with other things and haven't spent a lot of time on it.
Here is where it stands at the moment.  I left the "cut off part of the face" in so that you can see what goes in that black space.

Here it is with that cut off part over the black
I have been tempted to try printing that on fabric and just using it as one piece.
Ha ha.  But rather, I will finish it eventually.

Here is another face just so you aren't looking at only unfinished work.
I created this one in AI - much like the original that is becoming a quitl.
This one will NOT become a quilt.

I am linking to the Friday Face Off.

WOW!!!!! You are so talented. I see how this is coming together. I do like the AI too. Actually he reminds me of you. Not his face but that fact that he is tinkering, making something work. Thank you for joining FFO. I hope you were happily surprised.

This is coming along super Gene. I think it's going to be amazing when it's finished because it's already looking amazing. :) Have a great weekend.

To me it looks like it's coming along nicely. I do understand that it is a lot of work and very time consuming. Your AI gnome is very cute, too.

I love Mondrian's color blocking art pieces, and love your beautiful take on them. Happy FFO!

Lots of nice progress, Gene. It doesn't look like there is much left to do but I imagine the eyes are going to take some time.
