Sewing a Face (and some AI art)

One of my AI artworks is being used as an inspiration for an art quilt.   I am excited to see it coming along.  I spent part of yesterday evening creating the background.
It isn't perfect but it will look great when it is finished, I think.
A few days ago, I had cut out the head shape from black fabric.  There is a lot of black in the head/face of this so I decided that I would applique the colored parts over it rather than try to sew tiny pieces.
The pin tells me which side goes up.

I used a paper template to cut out the shape.
I think it worked out pretty well, so far.
Here is the original piece:

Some of those colors will likely be changed in the final work.

Now a new AI piece for the Friday Face Off
This one will NOT become a quilt because there are far too many tiny pieces.

Happy Friday.

Until Next Time,

Something you may want to consider is giving commenters different sign-in options. I plan to drop my Gmail asap. Other Blogspot blogs, I use Name & URL to leave a comment. It's just a thought and maybe this may help others who do not have Google mail or dropping it.

That's cool you make quilts. I always wanted to learn but never did. *sigh*

The quilted Indian AI FFO is really nice! I'm so glad I found you linked up at Nicole's. I saw your comment on my site and didn't know how to get back to you because your Gravatar doesn't have your URL visible, just the code bar and I won't scan stuff like as a general rule that because that's a good place for hackers to hide malicious code.

Have funtastic Friday!

Layering the colored pieces over the black base should really make the details pop once it all comes together
