FFO Self Portrait

Nicole at  DVArtist has challenged readers to create a self portrait. While I didn’t create a new one, I am sharing a few that I have created in the past.

My first was a stamp (and my apologies, I don’t have the original photo)

This is the actual stamp, when stamped, it is a mirror image
While I was pleased with this one, I knew I could do better.
So a second stamp was made using a different photo
Much better!
This was used as the basis of a couple of embroideries that I digitized for my embroidery machine.
And finally, I used this photo as the basis for a digital drawing
A photo of me taken from a television commercial that I acted in

That became this drawing.
So, there are some of my self portraits for the Friday Face Off

And just for fun a couple, of AI photos I did using the AI on my phone

Ha ha, I do work out but I am not that buff, and I don’t have a tattoo.

Until Next Time,
Stay Creative

OMGosh...... I think spending time with you would be so much fun. Wow making a stamp of your face is not and easy thing. Well done my friend. I do see you more in the last one. What commercial is this? I'm so happy that you created your face with movement and action. Very nicely done. Sometimes doing SP tells us how we see ourselves. Uhh haaa buffed out with tattoos. It's cool. I see myself when I was young. 100lbs with very long black flowing hair. Yeah, those days are gone.... ha ha ha. I love all of your art. I think you are very talented and have a fine creative mine. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have the best weekend.

What fun, Gene! I'm impressed that you made a self portrait stamp! You have done great self portraits in a number of mediums. Well Done! I'd like to look buff in the gym. 😂 I have a long way to go.

Wow Gene, what a great collection of self-portraits. I like the stamp idea, very creative. The drawing from the commercial is great as well. And the AI ones are just striking!

I love your hand carved stamp self-portrait! I make hand carved stamps every year to make small series of Christmas cards, but I haven't gotten around to making those this year. Blessings!
