Smile - it is Friday!

Last week, Tom said that Frida looks sad.  Yes she does.  I think Frida hid a lot of pain.
"Frida Kahlo had multiple physical disabilities resulting from childhood polio and a devastating bus accident at age 18 that caused severe injuries to her spine, pelvis, and leg. These conditions led to lifelong chronic pain, numerous surgeries (up to 30), and a leg amputation late in her life. Her physical struggles and pain significantly influenced her art, which often openly depicted her body, suffering, and medical devices like corsets."

So today for the Friday Face Off, I am using a new AI image I created of Frida Smiling.

She looks great smiling Tom, but not anywhere near as nice as your quilt. Have a super weekend and FRiday.

But now she smiles, that is beautiful!

Excellent AI and now you should make her into a quilt.

She really did have a lot of trauma in her life. I like the smiling version, too.

Given the intensity of her described pain ~ not many smiling depictions of her ~ this is a lovely one ~ thanks,

She is brilliant. Yes, Frida lived a life of chronic pain, and it showed in her art. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have the best weekend.

It's nice to see her smiling. I wonder what her art would have been like if she hadn't been sick.

I did not know that Frida K. suffered so much. Thanks for your smiling drawing of her. I like to think she is in a better, happier place and experiencing healing. All the best to you!

Hi Gene! First of all, congratulations on being featured on Nicole's FFO page. It was so well deserved, as I absolutely love your Frida quilt. I appreciate the short bio you wrote today, for it explains the pain you saw in many of her pieces. Today's smiling Frida is so much fun, as I have seen photographs of her enjoying life. Blessings, my friend!
