Made for Me

Sometimes you just want to play.  I wanted to play a bit with the piecing technique I used on the last piece I showed.   -Okay, so it still isn't finished, but I just wanted to play!   I used the same technique and a lot of the same fabric.  I decided to make a notebook cover.  The quilt part of this one is far less planed or fussed over, but it still took a lot of time.  So, I decided that I will not make this notebook cover to sell, but I will just keep this one for me.  No one would pay me enough for the time (several hours) I spent on it.

But this one makes me happy so I am happy to keep it for myself.

Here is the full outside as it is opened out flat.

Here is the front,

Then the back

And the inside

It is all hand dyed fabric and  I love it.  And, yes, I did put a label inside even though I knew I would be keeping this one.  One day I will be gone, and this will show the history of the piece.

Until Next Time,
Stay Creative

It's really nice! You can tell that you were relaxed while making it.

What you've created is absolutely fantastic! These gorgeous lines combined with the colors are magnificent. I'm so happy to be back on your blog and will enjoy looking at all your work.
You might know that I'm relatively new to quilting and such, but I'm currently working with free-motion cutting techniques, and that's what I find most fulfilling... it's wonderful to play with the colors. My biggest problem is that I'm always missing some fabric... I'll have to get into dyeing...
Sending you a hug,
thank you for your wonderful works.
I wish you a happy Advent season.

I love it, Gene. I liked the vertical orientation of this piece when you first shared it. I think labels are important for the very reason you mentioned. I don't always remember to add one.
