Dye Fabric, Dye!

A desire to play with color - and test a new color of dye that was delivered a couple of weeks ago - overcame me.  I took some prepared fabric and dyed it.
The "new" Cerulean blue with Turquoise
This was done as layered dyeing.
Blue with a red-violet
But this is my favorite of the three.
I don't remember exactly what I used.
I see turquoise, cerulean, red violet and I do remember using some avocado (a mixed color.)
I always enjoy dyeing fabric.  These were actually left in the dye bath for over 24 hours. The instructor said 24 hours is the optimum time - if you can bear to leave them for that long.  This time, I was busy and didn't have time to rinse them early. So they got the full time.
I don't think it made a huge difference in the outcome, but I will try to leave them for the full 24 hours whenever I can.

They all look nice, Gene. The cerulean blue is my favorite though :)

Wow! What great results. I think the colors are richer in hue value if you can leave the fabrics the full 24hrs, but I wouldn't be able to wait that long.....lol!

All three are very pretty but I think I like the middle one best.

Oh Gene, that cerulean blue is my all time favorite color! I used to have a dress that color. Actually I still have the dress but it's so faded. Couldn't bear to part with it though. Someday I will cut it up and make a quilt or something from it. I never wore the belt to the dress so it's still this beautiful color.
