Also this painting went to a new home. It is titled "In the Gloaming." I was very happy to hear that one of the Art Council Board Members chose it to live with her.

Congratulations on your Gallery Show - and the works that sold!! I LOVE the painting that lives at my house!! - ;))
Hello, and thank you for your visit on my blog about the Saori weaving class I took with my mom. Wow, that was a long time ago! Less than a year after that blog post, I was on my way home to Canada, ending my 9 years of living in Iowa. I now live on the east coast of Canada and although we have a vibrant arts community, I have not seen much in the way of Saori weaving around here, classes or otherwise (although I did do a basket weaving class about a month ago!) I do have 4 looms now - a rigid heddle, a 4-harness table, and a 4-harness floor loom, as well as a circle loom. None of them are Saori looms, but that's OK - one can still do Saori style weaving on them. All that said, life has been a bit of a muddle for a few years, and I'm only just settling into a home where I have space to do my creative things and have my looms available. At the same time, my other contract work is super busy, so I have little time for my creative side. I would love to do some more Saori weaving though, and hopefully I'll find the time soon. I really wanted to explore using my handspun in woven pieces. I love the piece that you sold at the gallery!
Beautiful pieces that found new homes, Gene. I'm sure those that you still have will live on in the memories of those who attended the show and viewed them.
Oh wow. I love that vest/topper woven top that sold. And you made it? WTG! Lovely.
Congratulations on your success, Gene. I remember that woven piece...it was one of my favorites.
