Under the Needle

What is under my needle?

Monday I layered and basted  a section of the Scrappy Quilt.
It is under the needle being quilted.
Because I have a tendency to quilt densely,
this will take a while to finish the entire quilt.

For size reference, those circles in the diagonal curved blue strip
are about the size of a penny.

As you can see, I am changing designs as I go.  Nothing is "perfect" as that
is not my goal. Rather this will be great practice for me.
AND
It will have fantastic texture when the quilt is washed.

So what is under your needle?

Beautiful quilting, Gene. I'm looking foward to seeing this one come together.

I always change up the quilting when the quilt tells me to. I cannot just quilt one motif over all that pieced work. Looks great, keep going.

So lovely. I’d say perfect! Nothing under my needle. I’m taking a much needed break. 🤣

Love the graffiti or wild quilting! It's my favourite type of quilting to do! Anything goes!
And yours looks fantastic!

I love the way that you approach your quilting. I need to be more like you and stress less! I'm better than I used to be but I'm not totally relaxed about my quilting yet.
