I don't have a lot to share today, but I did finish two more notebook covers featuring sugar skulls on the front. They are similar but I did use different threads in the embroidery. Also the fabrics for the back and inside pockets are different.
You may also notice differences in the quilting on each of these.
My general "rule" for quilting is "Do what feels fun!"
I generally follow that rule.

They look great and I love your motto, "Do what feels fun!" - To a fun Friday!
I really like the purples and blues in the one sugar skull on the right.
Nice work!
Bravo ! Beautiful work
The skulls are interesting but I'm wildest about the wonderful colors, the back of the book and inside. Lovely -- did you dye the fabrics?
Nicely done Gene. I'm going to ask the same question I noticed Jeanie asking. Did you dye those fabrics yourself?
Erika, I dyed the one on the left, the one on the right is actually a commercial fabric.
I like the the last image on the right. That's really pretty fabric. Can I have your autograph?
The top skulls are exquisite
Ohhh these sculls are amazing! Your quilting is fabulous. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a nice weekend.
These are super cool!
...keep doing what feels fun!!!
