Back in August a friend and I started planning a cruise. It was a twelve day cruise from Jacksonville, Fl to several islands in the Caribbean. While I have been on a Caribbean cruise three other times (long ago) this time all the places we went to were new to me. I confess that I didn't take pictures on every island.
I had a great time. We visited: Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Tortola BVI, St Kitts, St Martin, St Thomas USVI, and San Juan Puerto Rico (not necessarily in that order.)
Here are a few pictures.

Wow, that sounds and looks great! Happy times!
...Gene, you can't take care of others unless you take care of yourself!!!
Everyone needs a vacation. Doesn't have to be exotic, just time away and recharge. Good for you that you did it.
I'm glad you were able to take some time for yourself, Gene. That was a nice itinerary. I've visited all of those places on various cruises. You look so relaxed in the photos. When is the next one? LOL.
It sounds like the perfect winter getaway Gene. And I bet you had a lot of fun. My Mother and her sister were caregivers for my grandmother, and so even though I didn't have to care for her, I saw all the work that involves. I bet the break was well needed and refreshing your spirit. Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing these fun photos.
I looks and sounds like you had a good time. Yes, being a caregiver, one needs to get away. The batik is lovely. The welcome sign is a reminder of the massacre there. Although I like the sign. Wow! a phone booth. Did the phone work? Truly beautiful photos but I like seeing you the best of all. Thank you for sharing some of your trip with FFO and have a very nice weekend. Oh, my family lives in Jacksonville.
What a fab cruise! Glad you got away on a vacation, I'm sure the break did you a lot of good. It's very demanding and draining to be a caretaker. I love those blue mirrored sunglasses you're wearing in the presidents photos! So cool!
Glad you got away for awhile!
Wonderful memories! Good that your brother shares your mom's care with you.
