Here are a number of mildly successful pieces.
The idea is to get interesting papers that I can use in collage. However if a print is
truly a success, I may mount it onto a canvas as a one off print.
Here are three that are great successes for what I was trying. I don't think they are
so great that I will mount them on canvas. It was all play.
A floral stencil was used on each of these. I can see any of them being used as
a focal point in a collage.
What are you playing with in your art space?

Some beautiful results!
I think all of these are fabulous. I really like the orange with black. I don't see any failures here at all. How fun to play with something new. Thank you for sharing with SITAR have a great Sunday.
Wonderful work Gene!
I like your playful approach to these prints. I have a few favorites but they all work for me! I’ve stuck with watercolor painting these days and am flummoxed with some blog issues, so postings are at a premium. 😮
These are amazing! I am with you, with the idea of "what if I... instead?" The creative process is what makes it so much more fun.
Very interesting!
These all look fabulous to me Gene. And I bet you had fun playing. I always do when I gelli print, and isn't it great how you never get 2 of the same view? Have a super new week.
I do enjoy playing with different style of printing.
...Gene, keep saying what if I did this instead!
Looks like you are having fun, Gene. I really like the floral stencil on the left. The blues and purples are my jam.
I like every one of them! Some might make a perfect background for a bold line drawing.
Well now, that’s the right spirit, just getting in there and trying things out without worrying too much about perfection. Some of the best ideas come from those “what if” moments, and it sounds like you’re on a good path. I’ve always thought a bit of playfulness in art keeps things fresh and enjoyable.
Gene, I think all of these are great collage "fodder". I just made some papers with old book pages, that I will use in collages.
It looks like a lot of fun! I love the one in the middle (black, orange and pink).
Really well done.
I love learning new things. You just have to keep at it...
Next week I'm going to an old handloom factory and I get to work on a handloom there, I'm really looking forward to it.
Otherwise, I'm making blocks for a new quilt... yippee... it's so wonderful to create something beautiful.
Best wishes. Happy crafting and much success to you.
Hugs, Viola
They are beautiful.
