The truth is that I have just been too busy and too tired from being too busy. We have had several intense projects at work. Add to that my usual chores, caregiving for mom, (she is doing pretty well though, just needs to gain some weight back - not a problem most of us have!) AND getting ready for the sale November 19th -and well you can see how it is wearing me out. LOL.
So, I may take a blogging break -or at least be more infrequent until after the sale. I will be back in full force after the sale I think.
Meanwhile, I suggest checking my sidebar "Blogs I read" -there is some good inspiration in some of them.
I will have some paintings I have done at the sale this year.

I know how wearing the caregiving is on top of other things. Make sure to make some time for yourself whenever you can and don't feel guilty about it. Good luck with the sale and see you when you are back.
Gene my hubbys family is going through the same thing with their Mom. She has been going down with Parkinson's and it is really taking it's toll on her children (her primary caregivers). We've all been caring for Mom for 4 years and it's exhausting physically and emotionally. Take time when you need it.
Working a full time job, plus being a caregiver for an aging parent is definitely something that will keep you busy and tired. And all of us bloggers need a break once in a while, even if we aren't busy or tired! So take the time you need...we'll all be here when you get back.
And by the way, I LOVE your paintings! That Egret is beautiful! Good luck with the sale!

I recall a couple of these paintings, but what I'm really drawn to is the Egret. Would enjoy seeing that finished when the time comes.
Life does get in our way of having fun sometimes, but we all know we are all still around, just have to be patient. Me included!

I am also helping my husband care for his mother, like you. I cared for my mother for 11 yrs...the last 6 were with Alzheimers. So, I've been down that road before.

I, of the "infrequent blogging at best" clan, certainly can not say anything about your blogging. In fact, I am pretty slow at keeping up with reading blogs too (sorry about that). But sometimes the days are just too short! Love the paintings, Gene. I love your quilting, too, but painting is such a mystery to me that I really envy anyone who can do it!
