I hope you are not getting tired of seeing my adventures in dyeing. The Craftsy Class "The Art of Cloth Dyeing" really has me inspired to dye more fabric.
Stitch Resist Shibori |
The darker sections (bottom and center) were created by some black dye powder that I put on the cloth after it was in the dye bath.
The stitch resist is one that I will be repeating a few times. It is extra work, but it makes a fun design on the fabric. In fact I have one stitched up and ready for the next dyeing session.
I have used bits of yarn at the ends that are tied. It is a trick I saw on a youtube video.
These are the other two pieces from this dyeing session.
It is great fun to alter the folding patterns and see what happens.

These are beautiful, and in all my favorite colors. If I didn't know you are not a psychologist descended from Rorschach, I'd wonder! You aren't, are you? :)
I can tell this is fun for you. Great results, I 'm not tired of exciting projects ever.
"and see what happens" - that's what it's all about - ;))
