I had my camera with a zoom lens and was chasing along taking photos. Here is a photo that I took that year with my good old Pentax film camera.
Yes, of course the Grand Marshall for the parade was none other than Dolly Parton.
As she was going by, I yelled out "Hey, Dolly! I never saw a fox riding on a lion before."
She laughed delightedly and said "I never thought of it that way!"
Rest in Peace, dear lady.

What a fabulous story Tom. And a great memory for you. She was a true leader and the world needs people like Dolly. Have a wonderful Friday.
what a beautiful photo! Truly lovely story!
That's a moment to celebrate and cherish forever, my friend. Rest in Peace, Dolly.
...she had a sense of humor, more than can said about our supreme leader! Be well, Gene.
She really must have been a wonderful person, Gene.
You are so fortunate to have a photo of her that you actually took. She will be missed. If there is a heaven she is now there. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a nice weekend.
Good shot!
What a fabulous tribute and memory for you. Dolly will truly be missed, especially for her Imagination Library where she donates book to children up to the age of five. I was exposed to books early, so I know how that influenced me to read. I was ahead of every class I took in grade/grammar school and it was because my grandparents (who raised me from birth) gave me new books every week. Thank you again for sharing this. I will miss her, too.
You asked what kind of glue I use. It's UHU.
