Yesterday was our final performance of
Arsenic and Old Lace. The final show was well attended and the audience laughed uproariously throughout the show. A couple of readers asked for a photo of me onstage. Fortunately one of the board members took some photos for documentation of the show. Here is one where I am about to be chased out of the house.
The product that I used to make my hair gray worked quite well. The hat I am holding in my right hand is my own hat. This hat has appeared in every show I have been in since 2015. You see, I have a rather large head size so the hats in our theater wardrobe don't usually fit.

After the show yesterday afternoon we all stayed to "strike the set." All of the walls, doors, windows, etc. were taken down, loaded into trucks and trailers and returned to the theater headquarters. You see, we don't have our own performing space, so we rent space to perform. That means that we need to vacate immediately after the last show. This amazing cast -as well as the "crew" - which was only four people - stayed and worked until everything was back at HQ and put away. It was a great run.
But now, I am happy to get "back to normal" --err more or less - and return to my other creative outlets.

Boy, does this post take me back to the days I was involved in stage crew and productions! I love the drama in that picture and the set is marvellous. I can only imagine the work of setting up and taking down ... especially right after the end of the production. And, oh yes, I also identify with hat size ... even if the label says how many inches it is supposed to be.
Congratulations on a successful run. The closest I ever got to live theatre was a little bit of set construction, but even that was fun. I was never brave enough to do the actual acting. I'm through and through an introvert.
