Each of these are the faces from soft dolls that I have made. The dolls were made for my grandnieces. First up, the doll for the older sister.
The face on this doll is machine embroidery that I digitized for this doll.
It was a simple design to create although the software I had
at that time was not the best for creating embroidery.
The next doll has a painted face.
This doll was made with a stretch material so that it was simply easier
to paint the face on the doll. Even with the paint it was a bit of a
challenge to get the eyes like I wanted.

to see how various people interpret the challenge.

Hi Gene, I love your dolls. When my daughter was small I used to make her a matching doll whenever I sewed her dresses, and always in pink, she loved pink! Have a great weekend, Valerie
...lovely throwbacks.
Fun dolls, indeed. My favorite is the hand made.I think her eyes are lovely 😍
Ohhhhhh these are just wonderful. I too made dolls like this many years ago. These are such fun reminders. Thank you for joining FFO.
I loved making dolls a long time ago, but haven’t done so in years. Nice faces.

These are wonderful!
Such sweet little dolls. I'm sure your grand nieces loved them and still do.
Wow, they are wonderful!
My Niece "requested" a doll that can be fed and also the other way out. I would prefer your dolls!!
cool, I read about dolls yesterday. Handicaped children have a hard time relating to usual dolls. One woman, who made dolls, started to make dolls that looked like the child in question. A doll with the same disability. It was very popular :)
Sweet dolls with sweet faces - I'm sure your nieces love them - ;))
Both have very cute faces! The 2nd one looks so positively inspirational
Oh, your Grandnieces must have been delighted. So cute and so clever. Your talent abounds ...
