Once my hands were in the clay it was easy to just go with it and make a face. I had no plan but I did play with sculptural elements in the hair??hat?? whatever! Then I had fun painting that part.
This one looks a bit dismayed or distressed doesn't it?
Ah well, I don't know the story behind it.
In other news, I have been working on a song since at least June of this year.
This week, something magical happened and it just came together.

...how about a smiley face next time?
I really love your sad looking clay art! I think you have got him to live, as he looks so wonderful, and not too sad :)
I listened your song and it is wonderful too. You sing greatly.
First of all I love the hair. You manipulated the clay perfectly. I love your face especially all the colors. Ohhhhh sing baby sing. I love how you play and your voice. Have the best day today.
Your face is very well made, but somehow it reminds me of Donald T! Valerie
Loved the music, too, you have talent!
Your clay face makes me think of Conan O'Brien!

Comments above...Donald T and Conan O... I can see both in the face LOL. I love the way the paint blended for the hair / hat / whatever :) You really have a great voice, Gene. Man of many talents!
