But I managed to get a few shots anyway. If you see the dirt on my car in the background - that is pollen. We are having a rather early pollen season I think. And in other photos you may see grass/weeds that haven't been dealt with - If the ground ever gets dry enough during what is apparently this Alabama monsoon, I will get that fixed.
Believe it or not this top was pressed but the humidity and the wind seemed to magically make the wrinkles reappear.

Gene that looks awesome!!! Yes pollen is here too.....aaaccchhhooooo!!!!
It’s an absolutely beautiful quilt! I knew it would be. If there was any pollen in NJ, the falling snow would take it away. It’s still winter here. Send the weeds this way, we like anything that’s green. ;)
Your quilt top is GREAT! The crumb blocks look good with ALL of the happy colors - and I like how you tied in the black edges with the center black squares - VERY nice - ;))
Love it Gene!!
Wow! It really turned out to be sooo beautiful. I love it with the black.
We only got a couple of nice sunny days. Now it is raining again with LOTS of very cold wind. Pollen didn't stand a chance. LOL
It just goes to show that any color will work. I like the variety. I am on the last three blocks now, but will probably go on until I run out of the background fabric and make the whole thing as large as possible. Your quilt gives me an idea that I might use the same fabric as I put in the center squares for the border pieces. Kind of a plan-as-you-go-quilt, which is rather my style anyway.
Looks amazing Gene! I love all the colors with the black. The pollen’s thick down here in SW Florida too. We’re in the middle of weeds are the only reason my yard is green season.
A lovely top. Will you go on to do the quilting right away or do you let your quilt tops steep for a bit while you run off and "chase squirrels"?
Stunning!!!! Just love it! Reminds me of beautiful gemstones displayed on black velvet. Thanks for sharing!!!
Beautiful, Is that your own design, or a patter? I love the busy, random crumbs alternating with the bright solid blocks. Wonderful balance.
That's quite a stunning quilt, great colours and wonderful use of scraps.
