Friday Face Off

Welcome back for another fun Friday Face Off.  As always,  I am linking this to the Friday Face Off hosted by Nicole at  DVArtist  Clicking the link will take you to her blog.  It is great fun to see how various people interpret the challenge.

Today I am pulling out another painting that should probably be in my exhibit, if there was room for her.  This is "Green-Eyed Serena" - one of my partial face paintings in watercolor. Years ago, I took a class with Janet Rogers on flowers and portraits. In the class, we saw one of her paintings that was a partial face.  I fell in love with the idea.  The class convinced her to give us a demo on painting one of these. At the end of the week, I went home and painted several, sometimes using photos of acquaintances as the basis for my partial face.  This one is just from my imagination.

This watercolor is framed behind glass.  I tried to get a good photo with as little glare as possible. However the color came out a bit to the magenta/lavender side of things.

Happy Friday to you all.

Until Next Time,
Stay Creative

Oh, I cannot warm up with watercolors, it´s too difficult (other I´d need a holiday, then I will try again).
