Today is Good Friday. That in the past has seemed to me to be such an oxymoron. But my older, wiser self sees that sometimes good comes from pain, loss and anguish. So today we celebrate not the death of Christ. Rather it is GOOD Friday because out of the death, agony and anguish came the glorious goodness of salvation for a sinner such as I.

Peace be with you, too, Gene! And thanks for that wonderful reminder of what today truly is!
Gene, I share your sentiments, also. I always used to wonder why they called it "Good Friday" when it was the day we recognized Christ's terrible suffering, anguish, and death. But now, I too, look at it in a different way. And now instead of focusing on his death, while that is an important event for all Christians, I focus rather on his resurrection, and what that means for a fallen world!
Peace be unto you and your family, Gene. Our Lord Lives!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Peace be with you too. With age comes wisdom......
:) I recently saw a B.C. cartoon with those sentiments exactly. I tried finding it online to link to here, but can't seem to locate it again. Oh well! He is risen! :)
