Off the Loom
The last piece I was weaving is off the loom. I just kept weaving until the warp ran out.
And of course I have a close up of the zigzag section using a clasped or interlocked warp.
This makes me think that perhaps a landscape wall hanging would be fun to attempt.

Art quilting with yarn instead of fabric.
Gorgeous! I said the same about your scarves, but I think weaving this way has allowed the artist inside to really break free. I like suemac's comment about quilting with yarn. I think of it as a sort of thread painting. Actually, I can see scarves made ike this too. I haven't tried the interlock warp yet, but your video helped way more than the link you sent..so I'll be trying it on my next piece. The one I just finished with my own method will go into my blog soon, but the interlock method is so much cleaner!
Beautiful job Gene. I especially like that you can work bits of fabric into your weaving. And since you quilt, it's a good way to use those bits that we would normally toss in the trash!

That is nice-does look like a desert landscape. A really great effect.
