June arrived and I became an official retiree. I made more chemo caps and I got my Saori loom.
I sewed some more woven fabric into another vest,
and made a small fabric box to put some of my sewing goodies in.
In July I started the call for quilt donations for the Quilt Angels project.
We also planted a deck garden with tomatoes and squash.
I was very blessed to be able to attend the classes after the International Saori Conference in Peachtree City Georgia.
Then I got the "crud" and had to rest.............so I played on Electric Quilt.
Suddenly August began. I went to a Kai (a sort of weaving bee) and wove some fabric.
I also started another UFO quilt.
and used some of the woven fabric to make the Nana a top.
September saw more weaving
and some fun with sewing circles.
And yet more Chemo caps
October brought more weaving and some yarn spinning.
the Patsy Thompson Blog hop,
and sewing more of my woven fabric.
In November I made two quilts. One was an art quilt, the other a baby quilt.
I also made soap
December brought time for more creativity as well.
There was more yarn spinning.
And we delivered the Quilt Angel project quilts.
I got sick with some type of respiratory virus so I had two rather unproductive weeks... But I managed to be well enough to sing in the church choir for our Christmas Eve midnight service.
Wow... My year was more wonderful than I had remembered. Take time to look back and count your blessings. And yes, resolve in the coming year to be a blessing to those that encounter you. Love and inspire people. I promise that you will get more than you give.
'til 2015 - peace to you my friends!

Looking Back at my Year 2014 (PART 1)
As the year draws to a close, it is a great time to look back and see what I managed to accomplish this year.
In January, I was started working on a quilt (and it is as yet unfinished.)
I was weaving some scarves
And I did some embroidery digitizing.
Then February arrived.
I did some more embroidery designing for the year of the horse. And I worked on that quilt even more.
I did more weaving.

And played with some scraps
March arrived and I took a class on weaving on a Saori floor loom.
I sewed some of my woven fabric into a vest
In April I did some fun quilt piecing,
and made some sewing stilettos.
I also started making a decision. It was time to retire from my day job! So in May, I turned in my retirement paperwork. I also made a priest stole for our intern priest. Here are a couple of the things I put on it.
In the next post we will move on through the year.
I had no idea I did so many different things during the year.

Post Holiday Relaxation
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Today I am relaxing a bit with some yarn spinning. This was something I started last night and finished one bobbin full. Here is my second bobbin started. The bright blue in the photo is the leader yarn. The purple blend is what I am spinning.
I am using two different rovings. One is a purple and blue mix with some hot pink in it. The other is a yellow/orange/light pink mix. I have a nice purple warp that I will be putting on the loom at some time in the future and this yarn will play very nicely with it.
I hope that you are spending the day doing something you enjoy.
