Welcome to another Friday Face Off.
Following a prompt developed by Nicole at DVArtist,
a few of us create faces in various media.
Today my new creation is a lady created in

I love doing these as they present a different type
of challenge for me. This particular face
required me to change the color of her nose

the nose didn't play well because of an
extreme in contrast. What to do?
I simply took a Derwent Inktense pencil and
changed the yellow to a blue/green shade.
Next up is a rather old painting.
In fact, it is so old I don't remember when I painted it.

This is painted on a canvas board,
probably because I was trying to be "frugal"

I do like the way I used multiple colors

I love your quilted face, so many possibilities with these! She looks a little sleepy like she just got up in the morning. Her eyelashes are especially great, and her nose color is now perfect. When we don’t like something we’ve done there are always ways to change it. Super job, Gene!
OMGosh Gene that quilted face is just stunning. Your painted piece show a lot of character and a bright smile. You do have a lovely way with color in both pieces. Thank you for joining Friday face Off, FFO
Two more 'gallery' worthy pieces. I amazes me what you can do with various mediums.
Ditto what Barbara, DVArtist, and Jeanna said - your faces are VERY creative - keep 'em coming - ;))
Wonderful!
I am a HUGE fan of fabric and stitch. This is a very original face and I really LOVE it. I sure like how you colored the nose. It turned out great. I also like the hand drawn face. I like the background, too. You are a real artist with much talent.
Gene, I love that you created a quilted face!!! That's awesome. Oh, btw, I love to call myself frugal...but sometimes I'm just plain cheap lol!
