Friday Face Off

This has been (and still is) a busy week.  Thus I have decided to share an older face painting for the Friday Face Off with DVArtist (aka Nicole).

This face was painted years ago just for fun. It is not anyone in particular, although she certainly reminds me of someone. I just can't place the "someone."
This started out as a texture sheet for an abstract painting.
I saw a suggestion of a face and just went with it.

Be sure to visit DVArtist and check the linky list to visit the other
Face Off participants.

OMGosh Gene, those eyes are intense. I love them. I love all the color too. Very well placed. I don't know who she looks like but I would like to know her. LOL Thanks for joining FFO

What an absolutely remarkable face, Gene. I love the colors you chose. They made the face even more interesting.

Pretty amazing, this face has life! The emotion is one of surprise for me — “you mean you chose ME to show the world”?! The real question is why did you wait so long?

Love your "Face" and chuckled when you said how you arrived at it. I am forever seeing faces in things and have, myself, turned a painting into a face or faces when it was never my original intent. I don't know if that is a blessing or a curse, but I have fun with it as do you :)

So cool that she originally started as a abstract until she made herself known to you. I love the shine on her lips! Nice work, Gene!

I'll try again Gene! I love your face and thanks again for joining in with TAD! (Ps. the prompts are optional!) - I think my first comment got eaten by the Blogger monster!

Hi, Gene! I'm visiting via a link on Rain's Thursday Art Date. The face you painted is intense and beautiful. I see you are a quilter and like jigsaw puzzles. There have been generations of quilters and rug hookers in my family. My family and I love to jigsaw puzzles; my husband not so much. My creative skills are in writing and photography, although I'm starting to do some art, thanks to Rain. Have a great week!
