We are experiencing TechniæΦ...yep.

Due to technical difficulties with the communications elves, the giveaway is being postponed.   Those darned elves have me hanging in limbo here.  I Don't know what to do!!!

So I guess I will mention that my birthday is coming soon. I think I should giveaway something for my birthday. What do you think?

For the Techno quilter, I am offering a pdf of my Japanese Lantern's quilt.   While it is designed to be used with the Accuquilt GO! cutter, it also has a template for rotary cutting that you can print out.  That way, anyone can use the pattern with or without a GO!
What do  you mean you aren't a techno quilter?  You are reading a blog, you are most likely using a computer. So if you quilt too, you ARE a  Techno quilter!

Personally, I love cutting the pieces with the GO! cutter and the chisel die since I have one.  (Did you know that I love my GO! ???)

I will email the file to the winner after the end of September which is my birth month. I may be celebrating on the 30th, but I will have the drawing for this small prize The weekend following the 30th.

So tell me why you would like to win my pattern! Be sure I can contact you by email or I can't send you the prize.  I will use the random number generator to pick the winner.

Maybe I will have another, bigger giveaway posted soon!

Meanwhile, here is the picture of the Japanese Lantern quilt.  Good luck, and be creative with your response. I just may have another prize to send to the most creative answer.

I'd really like this pattern.. Why? Because I have had the chisel die at least 2 weeks before I win my GO! cutter.. and besides you are THE Gene Black, you create really cool art in a variety of forms. And who wouldn't like to win?

I would love to win this pattern because it's so pretty. Here is some birthday info for you:
The Birthstone for September is the Sapphire. Sapphires are believed to activate psychic abilities, aiding a strong connection with the higher self by balancing emotional influences, giving clarity and inspiration, enhancing willpower and faith in judgement.

Japanese Lanterns designed by the Generous Genius, Gene Genie? Of course I want to win it! Surely, once made up, some of your luck would have rubbed off and I'd have a magic lantern in there somewhere, to help me win a Go Cutter! :)

Well, I think I would like to win your pattern because I have been trying to figure out how to use up some of my misc. fat quarters and this looks like a beautiful way to do it. Now, only 11 more days until your big celebration.

Happy Birthday Mr. Gene Black Artist, Musician, Quilter, and EXCELLENT EDITOR :)

I wish for you all the wonderful things you wish for yourself and excellent health too!

Your pattern is lovely and of course who ever wins it will be thrilled. But, you know you don't have to stop at giving away your pattern......you could play your flute on on the computer video thing again....then we all would have a gift to enjoy. Just an idea.....
