A picture for Monday

Today I don't have a lot to post about BUT this is a painting I did that hangs in front of my desk at work.
The short name is Bridge.

The longer name is Bridge Across the Void into Tomorrow.

But, What do YOU see?

Hmmm...knowing both of your titles, I definitely see "landscapey" -- perhaps with a tunnel as well as a bridge. I can't help but wonder if I would have seen the same things if I didn't know the titles.

I guess my brain doesn't work like everyone else. I see a color palette for another quilt. lol

To me, I see large snowflakes that are falling into the heat and will soon be melting. I know...I know...I'm a bit crazy, but I don't do well with interpreting paintings that are not concrete objects I recognize. LOL You asked, though, so that's what I see there!

Now I'm seeing a warm wind being blown out of the NW. Maybe it was Pat's snowflakes comment that prompted that thought.

Your colors in your paintings are WONDERFUL!
I see a canyon and a rock cliff, some bushes and HAPPINESS....just looking at it.

You may be sophisticating me up! I never thought I could interpret paintings, but when I looked at this post in Google Reader, I looked at the picture before reading the words. My eyes went to the line next to the picture and guess what? Without having even read the rest, I realized that I DID see a bridge! And trees and water and a hill in the distance. Maybe I'm not a total art dolt, after all!

Hi there Gene...at first the song Bridge Over Troubled Water came to me and then after looking at the painting for a while I see a clear road ahead with a figure on it. It feels like some things are being left behind as well...perhaps some people and animals...Perhaps a clearer way ahead...the more I look the more I see...Great painting♥x

When I look at a painting I try to look at it without the title first. Without the title I see it makes me think of hiking. I see a boot print in the middle. And mountains. And the colors of a cool morning sunrise.

Now, with the bridge title. Um . . . I think I see the same thing.

BEAUTIFUL!
