I took the humility blocks and drafted them so I could play with them a little better. I did an alternating layout and I really like it. I tried it with sashing AND without. Then I added a single block version (but with every other block mirror imaged) with sashing. I really like it all three ways.
This "lemon" has really sparked my creativity. Sometimes the best thing you can do is make a mistake and find a great idea in it. Like say, post-it notes (read about more "accidental inventions" by clicking HERE)
Which do you like better? Do you like either one enough to want to make it?

I was thinking about post it notes when we were exchanging emails. Can you imagine life without little yellow sticky notes??? And to think- sticky notes are the result of a mistake.
I like the first version best. I don't have time to do it right now- but I'd make that one.
You're my hero, Gene! Thanks for letting us tag along as you go through this process. There's quite a life lesson here.
I like the first one without the sashing...there is something about it that catches my eye
Sometimes a "mistake" leads to greatness...my memory tells me that is how post it notes were invented
They all have their good points (pun intended)- I like the 3rd one the best. The 2nd one is nice too - the middle one has an optical illusion feel to it - or maybe it's just my eyes!!
1 and 3 are my faves. Can't decide which of those 2 I like best. I don't usually follow patterns, but this one...Yes, I would make it. :)
I like the one without the black sashing the best because I think it lets the beauty of those blocks shine through......but if I was going to do it with the dark sashing, I'd choose # 3 rather than #2. Oh...I do like it enough to make it but the question is...would I have TIME to make it?? LOL
Cool!! Love the red and white! LIke them all, but I think #3, no special reason....
I prefer #1 'cause my eyes keep moving around viewing it. The ones with black/sashing make me stop glancing. What fun you are having!
I just can't decide. All are really neat! I'd probably pick the one that seems the least conventional. ;)
Funny enough, I am going with number 2...very visually interesting. I love the way the black is used there...very striking! Do you have EQ6? It looks like you do...It is such fun to come up with really great designs in that program.
