That pile of quilt with the pins in it means I got some work done. I have the two pieces of the quilt quilted. I also have the joining strips attached to one half and pinned to the other half to sew at my next session. After that, all I have to do is sew on the binding and mail it away.
Truth is, besides the birthday deadline, I can use the money to pay for some batiks that I bought. I got such a deal on them that I just couldn't resist.
Yes, I know I don't "need" fabric, but it is called a "stash" for a reason. LOL.
For those who may be wondering: Mom's blood sugar is coming down. It is now below 200 and she is starting to eat food that is better for her. I am trying to teach her to make healthy choices. (but it is hard to break years and years of eating habits.)

Awesome!! Glad your Mom is doing better!!
Yes we always need more STASH. Glad to hear your mom is doing better.
I hear you about your mother's diet, I'm in the same boat. Can you ever have too much fabric? I don't know but I'm feeling I'm getting there. :^)
love the quilt...
I needed that thought -- the definition of the word "stash" LOL
Good luck on reprogramming your mother. I have a hard enough time convincing myself to eat the proper foods without having to convince someone else.
Glad to see that you are able to get a little sewing in :)
That is good about your mom, and yes, it is hard to make good food choices after making not so good for so many years....good luck with that.
Love your quilt!
The quilt is really nice. I wish I could wrap my head about this way in which you quilt the thing in two or more pieces. Maybe someday.....
As for your mother, I'm happy that the level of her blood sugar is heading in the right direction now!
