Last evening (when I was supposed to be working on a charity quilt) I sat most of the evening trying to fix the problem. I used my iPad to do the research. Luckily I have a small partition on my computer with a Linux operating system. That allowed me to replace some files. I can now get to the desktop...but the mouse and keyboard don't work.
Tonight...more attempts to fix it.
So if I don't comment on your blog or if I seem hopelessly missing...I am just still trying to fix this @#$#^*! computer.

So sorry to hear that you're having computer problems, Gene. We don't realize just how much we actually rely on these machines until they are acting up or broke. Good luck fixing yours!

My fingers are crossed that you will be able to get up and running again. Computers are great but very frustrating at times.

How are you doing with the computer problems? Wish we lived closer as I know Gary could get it fixed for you....he keeps so many running here for various friends and neighbors!
My daughter (my IT geek) says she likes Linux much better - and not just because of the penguins! :) I hope you get it fixed...that is so aggravating!
