We delivered the "Angel Quilts" on Christmas Eve (yesterday.) Before we left, I had a picture taken of me holding them. (that is a heavy load, I was ready to put them down.) I edited the picture to add a special message for you today.
There were sixteen quilts total. All of them are not visible in this picture, although I have every one of them in my arms.
These brought great joy. I will tell you the rest of the story in the coming days.

Merry Xmas from " Down Under", Gene, where it is now Boxing Day, 26th.
Your picture holding the quilts to be given out, really symbolizes what Christmas is /should really be about- giving! I'm looking forward to reading more about it when you blog again. Have a Wonderful Christmas Day! Sandy. :)
Oh, Gene...that is WONDERFUL!!! The picture is terrific and the whole spirit of the project is very touching. I'll look forward to hearing more about it. I hope you and your loved ones are having a great day today.

Merry, though slightly belated, Christmas.
Great photo!! That should be your Xmas card!!!
I've been following along your story about these quilts and the shelter - just haven't had a chance to comment. YOU have done a wonderful thing with this project! From beginning to end, I could tell that it was a project of love - that you truly wanted to bring joy and happiness to those that needed it most - especially at this time of the year when joy is hard to find for some. I know it is hard for you to accept compliments - I hope your heart is full with the warmth that you have shared - may your 2012 be blessed as you have blessed so many others. Thanks for sharing your life and projects here on the blog - it means a lot to a lot of us out here in blog land :)
