A while back a dear friend sent me a kit. Somehow it got buried and forgotten. This past week I found it. Then I traced the templates, adding the quarter inch seam allowance, and cut them out.
Tonight I finished sewing it. The center was "less than perfect" so I appliquéd a circle over the center. It is still less than perfect, but hopefully I will find a place to use it where it will shine.
Everything done by hand is less than perfect, but that's what makes it special -- doesn't look like it was created by a cookie-cutter machine. This is the perfect kit for you, being so colorful. It shines all by itself, just frame it!
What wonderful colors. It definitely reminds me a kaleidoscope - love the patterns those things form. You may not think it's perfect but it looks beautiful to me!!

It might be less than perfect but it looks good to me.
I love those kaleidoscope blocks. I have never attempted one, though because I get stumped at the first step - picking out fabric!
all of the colors would have confused me....I think it looks great.....
I would not have known that the circle wasn't intended to be there. Niiice!
Great idea about the circle....I have done stuff like that before. You know I just love this block!!!
It looks fabulous, Gene! I've always wanted to do a kaleidoscope one but I get hung up on the fabric choices that would work best for it.
Hey I like it....and I think everything I've ever made is less than perfect...so it's all good :)

Love the kaleidoscope and would love to try one but it looks soooo hard. Make a nice wall hanging with it, it really needs to be displayed.
That is spectacular!

I always liked Kaleidescopes, and the fabric you chose is great. You should see the one Ricky is making on the Quilt Show.
