Really finished

My little quilt is really finished now.  It is bound and ready for the first washing.  I always wash a quilt before I give it away or sell it. I want to see that they seams didn't pop out anywhere.  I am a little OCD about that after one of my personal quilts popped a seam the first time I washed it.
We did a photo shoot yesterday.  Dave, who does the camera work for my videos is a great photographer.  We did have to work with the bright sun in my eyes, so that was against us. Ha ha....yes I am squinting.

Let me ask if you have not voted at the Quilting Gallery for my quilt Windmill Magic, that you go and vote. Click HERE

Comments are welcomed. I will reply when possible unless otherwise stated. Foolishly posted "hate speech" comments will be swiftly removed.

Hi Gene,

Love your newest "finish"...it's beautiful. I, too, ALWAYS wash a quilt when it's complete. (I do it for many reasons--I sometimes use spray basting, I have a cat who likes to investigate and "test touch" it from time to time, but mostly cause I love the way a freshly-finished quilt looks all cuddly and wrinkly after being freshly laundered.)

I have tried to find the contest so I could vote for your quilt (many times), but just can't find the entries. If I can, I will find it and vote for your beauty.

Sincerely, Helen from Ohio

Such pretty colors and how terrific that you were able to do such a nice quilting job! I love how quilts get crinkly after washing...makes them more snuggly. :)

It's awesome, Gene! What a great quilt!

I just saw a sign in a quilt shop the other day...it said, "I sew, therefore, I squint" LOL

I love that quilt, and the windmill quilt (tulips are my favorite flower) however, by the time I found this, it was too late to vote. I think the deadline was yesterday. Hope you won. You have a lot of talent!!
