Zipper Bag and Fabric

How do you feel about glitter? I am NOT a fan of it.  I got a half yard fabric that I really liked - until I saw that it has glitter on it. You see, if  there is glitter anywhere in a 3 yard area, it will end up on my face. Why is that?
So, what to do?  I thought I could use it to make gifts.  So I made this little zipper pouch. It is about 8 inches by 6 inches.

I have glitter on the ironing board, my hands, in the carpet and ----yes, you guessed it ON my FACE.  Arrgh.

What to do?

I know! A giveaway is in order.  If you would like to win this zipper bag AND the rest of the half yard of fabric.  Leave a comment. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner.  The comments close at midnight Central Time on Saturday and I will pick a winner at some time on Sunday.

I edited to add "on Saturday" to the ending time.
Also, I may not answer all the comments for this...but "Good luck to you all"

Well with three girls, glitter isn't something new over here! We'd love to take it off your hands :)

I have a soon to be 8 yr old niece who is learning to sew and loves glitter. I believe she would be very excited .... I, on the other hand, hate looking down to find my black skirt sparkling!

We have glitter here lots... with a 5 & 8yo girls in the house... at least there is now glitter glue for them to use, instead of loose glitter!!!

The bag looks great!

Don't throw my name into the hat. I'm in a glitter free zone over here. I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I think the bag is lovely and I'm envious of your skill with zippers! That's on my list of things to learn, for sure!

I can see that Tonya's tutorial really helped you master putting zippers into bags! Good job!

CUTE bag - I'm envious because I don't do zippers. Thanks for a fun giveaway!

I'm with ya! I hate that glitter gets everywhere. My daughter loves it though, she calls it sparklies. (no need to enter me in the giveaway as I'd probably be just as frustrated as you!)

This looks like just the thing for my niece. I never had a girl, so I do all my sparkly, glittery things for her!

I'm not a glitter/sparkle girl, but I have a niece who just loves it - especially if it gets on her face. Cute little clutch and extra fab would make great coin purse, make-up kit and key fob to match.

Well, being a beader, I have to say I like all things that sparkle, so I'm in. The bag is really cute!

Here's a funny glitter story... my husband is a high school art teacher and he ordered glitter expecting only small 4 oz containers but what came in were more like large milk containers. We laughed in the office calling him "Glitter Boy" - he was not impressed with that!

Another bag - oh yes count me in. Glitter does have a life of it's own, and it will win - it also keeps showing up for days.

well, Gene, I wasn't going to comment on your 'lovely' fabric. However, while at the cutting at JoAnn's yesterday there was a customer and employee battling so kind of fake fur fabric that was floating all over the place while being cut. It clung to their noses and hair they were batting like crazy.
You can guess who came to the front of my mind.
Yep, you and your glitter.

I am enjoying reading your blog.

Cute bag. I also am not a fan of glitter, but I love it when my fabric glistens or glimmers, so I guess I will always make an exception with fabric. :)

I have four grandnieces and the eldest two are glitter fanatics. This would be a wonderful twirly skirt - and their mamas can handle the glitter! If win, I'll keep the bag. Take care Gene!
