LCQA Quilt Top with Border

LCQA Quilt Top with Border by GeneBlack

I got the border added to my Layer Cake Quilt along quilt top.

I like the color punch and extra movement the border adds to the top. I wanted to make the corners come out "even" but that just didn't work out. I still like it!  I did get all the green points headed inward and the red ones pointing outward.

I can see you put a lot of work into this quilt Gene. You have more patience than me getting those borders to work out....I might have taken the easy way out...yikes :)

It's really neat, and I LOVE the border. Have loved it since you started showing it coming together. It definitely adds a LOT of movement, in all directions, so interesting! I don't think the word 'symmetry' is in your vocabulary, so it's not important the corners didn't turn out even. It's a 'Gene Black Original' one of a kind!

Gene,
Love the quilt.

More important, how are you faring with the tornados. My daughter said everything closed down in Mountain Brook at 12 noonish. Hope all is well in your area.

Gene, I also want to know how you are. Just watched the news here in Australia and saw the devastation the tornadoes are causing over there.
Love that quilt by the way!

The border is so dynamic, wow. It makes the quilt come alive! Borders are hard to get perfect. I wouldn't have noticed anything until you pointed it out!
