Storms

Apparently the storms in Alabama made worldwide news.  One of my readers from Australia asked me about it.  I survived the storms and now it is quiet again.  There was a lot of damage and a number of deaths from the storms, but I seem to have managed relatively unscathed. I hope no-one you know or love was affected by this extremely bad weather.
By the way, I work in an emergency response team so if I suddenly disappear for several days in the near future, it could likely be that I have been deployed in that capacity.

I'm glad you are safe and I hope all this horrible weather that seems to keep repeating itself is GONE soon. I am heartbroken at what I'm seeing on the TV right now.

I'm so glad to hear you're safe! The news reports this morning are not good at all and as Pat said, very heartbreaking.

I've been thinking about you, Gene! So glad you are OK. My daughter called from N. Carolina last night. She was on her way to chapel when there was an announcement over the loudspeakers to take immediate cover. When she turned around to head back into her dorm, she saw the funnel cloud over the athletic fields about 300 yards away. She said she never ran so fast in her life! So scary! I sure hope this weather system settles down now.

So glad to hear you are safe. I have a friend on Facebook who works for the city of Prattville. I've been keeping up to date by her posts. So scary and sad.

I thought of you as I watched our local news last night at 11:00....and started to e-mail you then but we were also under a tornado warning so I stayed off the computer. I prayed for you and your fellow Alabamans all last night. I am very happy to hear that you are safe...but heartbroken for those that have lost so much, and especially for those that have lost their lives. I'm praying now that the weather calms for everyone!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Glad to hear you survived! We plan to drive across your state (headed toward Fla.) in the future -- all these storms are causing me to re-think my plans.

Depoloyed or not you are now obligated to let us know you are safe....got it? If not....e-mail me your cell number cuz I'm not going around wondering....that makes me nutz. Just ask Barb!

Smiles,
Kelly

I suspect you will be busy for some time to come. The news reports out of AL are heart-wrenching, so much devastation. It's hard to even imagine. Be safe.

Stay safe, Gene! Seems like the local weather people are predicting this whole spring to be rather rough!

Based on what I heard on the news, I thought you were ok, but always good to hear confirmation. Very sad with the loss of life, homes and businesses. I do not recall anything of this magnitude in my life. Stay safe.

I'm so glad you are ok! I read you post yesterday and then went to get in touch but my internet went down. I have thought of you so often and prayed for everything to be well. The destruction is unimaginable!
