Personally, I am not as thrilled with these two combinations, but once they are in the quilt, they will work. One thing I considered was taking the dark diagonal corners from one of them and swapping them between blocks. That would have made each block a three color block since the dark is the same. One would be like the picture below. The other would have the pink and lavender reversed.
I decided not to do that since I would need to repeat it at least twice more and my planning is not that precise for this quilt. I will try to stick to the blocks being two colors. Although I think it would be fun to do a quilt where all of the blocks were 3-color blocks.
If you want to know the answer(s) to the puzzler from the last post, it is below the break.
There are two or more answers. Here are two of them.
1. Fill the 5 gallon jug.
2. Pour the 5 gallon jug into the 3 gallon jug. (Leaves you with 2 gallons in 5 gallon jug)
3. Empty the 3 gallon jug and pour the remaining 2 gallons in the 3 gallon jug.
4. Fill the 5 gallon jug and pour 1 gallon into the 3 gallon jug (remember it will only take one gallon)
5. The remaining 5 gallon jug will have exactly 4 gallons remaining.
OR
Fill up each jug half way. 2.5+1.5=4 (although personally, I wouldn't know where exactly half was located. )

Looking good Gene. I think I will make some more Bento blocks today.
I like your 3-color block idea - I might try that with my extra jelly roll - ;))
Yes! I think 3 colors would add a lot of interest! Next time!!!!
The answers to the riddle are perfectly sensible! I love your bento boxes and I think leaving things alone is just fine - fussing too much on some of these blocks can be over-rated.
I like the new blocks with different lights. The three color blocks would be interesting as well.
